On the home page, you will see a menu across the top. Here you will find a list of frequently asked questions divided by category. These FAQs contain important information that will give you a good base of knowledge in using the site. The menu also links to several articles relative to college planning and the transition for students with learning differences.
On the left side of this page, you will see a vertical menu containing several categories. Click on College Planning and then Your Roadmap to see an overview. When you are ready to begin your work, you can download the documents under Resources and Documents.
The next category is College Support Services. Here you will find the terminology used in describing the various levels of support and guidance at the college level. You will also find information pertaining to neuropsychological testing and college accommodations and services.
College Search is the section where you can begin to look at colleges. On the free site, your search will result in a list of colleges that meet basic criteria. As part of the Personal Plan, you will have access to Judy's overview of the learning support at each college and the rating given to each college in four categories of learning differences: Language-based learning disabilities; ADHD/Executive Functioning Disorder; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); and Social Communication Disorder.
As a Personal Plan subscriber, you will be able to create a favorites list, save multiple college searches, and view and compare statistics between colleges, including SAT/ACT scores, GPA, and college accommodations. You will also have access to our assessments and additional documents that are not available under the free plan. Students can take the assessments and read the results, which will help them target specific colleges, based on what they discover about their learning style, interests, level of support needed and additional factors relevant to finding a good college fit.
